For a living, or "by day", I'm a release manager at a growing SaaS company headquartered in London.
And "by night", when it comes to hobbies, it's a bit of a wide-ranging spectrum, though a lot of it is primarily in technology and computers.
Film and game development have always been a big interest of mine. It's been
a dream of mine for a long time to produce a game that others can play and
enjoy, though it's still one that's pending, unfortunately.
I'm heavily into data preservation (particularly around games) and run a site called TalonBrave.info, which is named after a character that was to feature in a game you may have heard of called Prey. The site is a bit of a branching spider, with other associated projects and sites, such as The Data Dungeon. I've dumped quite a few different pieces of software over the years, many of which can be found on the Internet Archive.
Reverse engineering various file formats and games is also a big hobby of mine (you can find some of my work published on both TalonBrave.info, and here).
Besides computers, I also love to write, whenever I get the chance and motivation to do so. For a long time now, I've been gradually fleshing out my own fantasy universe, though who knows if it'll actually go anywhere. You can check out some of the writing I've done on my site Inverted Stories.
Wouldn't say I'm very active in the scene, but I'm a big supporter of open-source software, at least, done in a way that isn't exploitive. I'll probably write about some of my thoughts on this at some stage, but personally I'd always lean towards more collaborative licensing such as the GPL over other more liberal licensing such as MIT. That said - open-source is open-source and I'll always heavily advocate for it.
Finally, I sometimes produce music though it's completely for my own
pleasure and something that I'm not doing as often as I used to, sadly -
